Melissa is originally from Corning, New York and moved to Florida in the summer of 2008 after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Science and Management. While she was in college, Melissa helped to manage a large riding facility housing more than 40 horses. She also took major leadership roles in various on-campus horse-related clubs, including becoming captain of the vaulting team and vice president of the Equine Performance Organization. She eventually plans on attending the University of Florida to earn a Master’s degree in Equine Reproduction. Until that time comes, she is happy to have found her niche at Atlantic Animal Hospitals where she is a jack of all trades, absorbing everything she can of the veterinary field.
Melissa’s furry children include brother and sister domestic shorthair cats, Bilbo and Midget, and Maine Coon cat Maximus. In her free time, Melissa enjoys reading, photography, horseback riding, and visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
