June
2008: Introducing Convenia, the convenient
antibiotic injection that lasts for 14 days.
Skin infections due to allergies and/or traumatic
wounds are one of the most common medical problems
seen at animal hospitals. Many clients feel that
giving an oral antibiotic one to three times
a day can be difficult to remember and sometimes
impossible depending on the animals disposition
and acceptance of oral medications. A Convenia
injection, administered at our hospital provides
a safe alternative to oral antibiotics for skin
infections. We are one of the first veterinary
hospitals in the area to offer this medication.
Only a veterinarian can decide if Convenia is
right for your companion animal. Please schedule an appointment to discuss
if Convenia may be used for your dog or cat.

March 2008: We are proud to be one of the first veterinary hospitals in the area to offer a mixed breed analysis via blood testing. The Wisdom Panel™ MX uses specific DNA markers to help determine the breeds present in the family history of a mixed breed dog. This information can help our clients and veterinarians learn more about the behavior and medical traits of a mixed breed dog, and can be extremely valuable in the long term care of the canine companion animal. Attaining a sample for the test only takes a few minutes. Click here to make an appointment for your canine companion.
